I just got done making a special project for one of my favorite nieces. Shhh!don't tell.lol She is all into Owls lately, she is just weird that way. So I saw this idea in a Joann's Ad and thought it would be cute in her craft room. Hanging in the corner or against the wall if she wishes. This project gave me many other ideas to do with Card Stock. Like I could make these into plant posts or scan them and put them on t-shirt transfers and applique them on to pillows or a bag etc. Hope she loves them like I do. I bought a pack of 4x6 card stock and mixed match the colors for the owls body. I used copper wire for the rings and let them be crooked and bendy for effect. I used twine and a real tree branch for the holder of the owls.

Finally finished my crochet blanket!
Yes, I am finally done with this one. I just did it to try out the pattern with scrap yarn from another blanket now of course I had to buy more of the same yarn to finish it; so again I have scrap yarn of these colors. Well now I have to decide who I will give it to; since it doesn't match any room in my house. But at least now I can go and buy more yarn and not feel guilty! LOL Time to look at pattern books!

My latest Scrapbook pages
I scrapbooked two of these pages because one is for my eldest son's scrapbook and my youngest son's scrapbook. It was a special occasion. This was their Nana and Tata's 50th Anniversary Party. They renewed their vows and all their grandchildren were in it. Like it was titled It

How my garden grows!
This is a picture of my garden. It has veggies and flowers in it. I love this time of year (except for allergy season). I have in my garden Habenero, chiltepins, jalepenos, mint, garlic, basil, beefy tomatos and romas, cilantro, and cucumbers. My flowers are Hibiscus, geraniums, pointsetta, blue sachet, rose bush, honeysuckle, daffodils, red autumn sage, and etc. I am trying to cover all the ground so I won't see nothing but flowers. My husband and I like to use the firepit, take our little tv out there and drink a glass of wine or coffee in the evenings. I like to sit out there in the day and work on the laptop. Everyone should have a place like this in their life to sit and relax.

Baby Jungle Theme Blanket finally finished!
I made this blanket for a friend of mine that she is going with a jungle theme for her Baby boy's room. I knitted this using the pattern in the back of the Knit Two book I just finished. This was the second book of The Friday Night Knitting Club. It was Georgia Walkers blanket pattern. The yarn is Red Heart and it's called Woodsy. I tried many patterns first but with the colors it just wasn't looking baby enough. So I went to Joann's (one of my favorite stores) and they had this cute Lion patch on sale.I sewed it on with needle and thread matching the outline color of thread. I pinned it carefully first so i wouldn't move or tug on my stitches. I really like the way it turned out now. I plan to buy one of those stuffed Monkeys that wrap around stuff with velcro hand to hug the blanket as I present it to her.
